Cepea, 20/01/2025 – Harvesting of the first bean crop is advancing in Brazil, with Paraná standing out, having already reached 74% of the area harvested as of January 13, according to Deral/Seab data analyzed by Cepea. According to the Center, most of the grain offered at this stage is graded 8 and 8.5, especially of the Sábia variety, known for quickly darkening. Availability of high-quality beans (grades 9 and 10), meanwhile, remains scarce, both in Paraná and in other producing regions. This scenario, according to Cepea researchers, reflects weather impacts, which affected quality in some areas, as well as the nature of seasonal supply. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
