Cepea, 14/07/2025 – Corn prices continue to fall in the domestic market, Cepea surveys show. According to the Center, the advancing second-crop harvest, which should be a record, and buyers pulling back are the factors pressuring prices. In addition, weakened external demand is also reinforcing the downward trend in domestic cereal prices. In its 10th crop survey, Conab pointed to an increase in Brazil's total corn production. The upward revision in July – both compared with the June/25 report and with July/24 – is due to higher expected output for both the first and second crops, Cepea researchers explain. In aggregate, Conab estimates 131,97 million tonnes of corn for the 2024/25 season, consolidating growth of 14,3% over the previous year (2023/24) and marking the largest harvest on record.
