Cepea, 26/03/2025 – The pace of cotton lint trading slowed in recent days. According to Cepea researchers, this is due to disagreement among agents over the price and/or quality of the lots available in the domestic spot market. Buyers are purchasing the product only when needed, while sellers are keeping an eye on crop development and are focused on fulfilling forward contracts. The Center also notes that this scenario is keeping lint prices oscillating slightly within a narrow range. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
