Cepea, 13/01/2025 – Supply of beans from Brazil's first crop has been growing significantly at the start of this year. According to Cepea researchers, harvesting is concentrated in the South region, especially in Paraná, and should advance in the coming weeks in Minas Gerais and Goiás. Producers consulted by Cepea are now focused on the weather, a determining factor for grain quality. Above-average rainfall in some Southeast and Center-West markets is raising concerns among market participants, especially those with fields nearing the end of their cycle. As for prices, a Cepea survey shows carioca bean prices continue to show different behavior across regions, with variations influenced both by grain quality and by demand. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
