Cepea, 13/08/2025 – The cotton lint spot market was busier in recent days, with both sellers and buyers interested in trading, Cepea notes. According to the Center, the pace of forward-contract trading also increased. As for prices, overall, a Cepea survey shows slight declines due to lower export parity, which is at levels seen in May/24. As a result, researchers explain, domestic sales are becoming more attractive. For the first ten days of August, the CEPEA/ESALQ index, with payment in 8 days, fell 3%, with the average exceeding export parity by 8%. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
