Cepea, 11/08/2025 – Corn prices continue to fall, Cepea surveys show. According to the Center, besides the record second Brazilian crop, the slow pace of exports and domestic buyers pulling back are keeping cereal prices under pressure. Despite frosts and/or pest occurrences in parts of the producing regions, researchers explain that, so far, expectations point to high domestic output, due to expanded area and improved yields. Keeping an eye on the intensifying harvest, Brazilian buyers are awaiting further declines and, as a result, are prioritizing the receipt of lots negotiated in advance, the Center also notes.
