Cepea, 24/06/2025 – Wheat prices have been stable in the spot market in recent days, with averages trading around R$ 1.500/tonne in Paraná and R$ 1.300/t in Rio Grande do Sul. According to Cepea researchers, this scenario may be tied to the smaller area planted this season and to extreme weather conditions in the South of the country. As for byproducts, meal prices are rising, driven by higher demand for animal feed consumption. In the external market, heavy rains in the U.S. Great Plains region, worsening conditions for U.S. winter wheat fields, and delays in that country's harvest pushed up wheat prices last week.
