Cepea, 06/11/2024 – Cepea research shows sellers continue to prioritize shipments under forward contracts for cotton lint and are also scheduling new shipments, mainly for export, involving the 2023/24 crop as well as product from the upcoming 2024/25 season. According to Secex data analyzed by Cepea, in the partial October figures (through the 25th), Brazilian cotton lint shipments totaled 257,2 thousand tonnes, on pace to reach the year's highest volume (in February, shipments totaled 258,2 thousand tonnes). Over 12 months (between Nov 1, 2023 and Oct 25, 2024), 2,7 million tonnes have been shipped abroad, a national record. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
